Frequently asked

Questions about Call Me Ready

Call Me Ready is a Chrome extension that turns any LinkedIn profile into a profile summary in one click. It is free for 5 profile summaries a month, reads only the profile page you are viewing after you click, and is not affiliated with LinkedIn. The details are below.

The basics

What is Call Me Ready?
Call Me Ready is a Chrome extension that adds a “Prep for Meeting” button to LinkedIn profiles. One click opens an AI-written profile summary in a side panel: snapshot, career arc, talking points, common ground, their company, a suggested opener, and watch-outs.
Who is it for?
Anyone who talks to people they have not met: sales and business development reps, recruiters and hiring managers, founders raising money, consultants, podcasters, and anyone walking into a networking conversation.
How long does a profile summary take?
A few seconds. It is designed for the moment right before a call, not for an afternoon of research.
Which browsers work?
Any Chromium browser: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera. There is no Safari or Firefox build today.

Cost and credits

Is there a free plan?
Yes. On the free plan every account gets 5 profile summaries per month at no cost, refreshed on your signup anniversary date. No card is required.
What do more profile summaries cost?
Credit packs are $19 for 50 profile summaries or $29 for 100 profile summaries. They are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and purchased credits never expire. Once you buy a pack the monthly free credits stop renewing — you simply draw down your purchased credits, which have no expiry date.
Am I charged if a profile summary fails?
No. If generation fails after a credit is spent, the credit is refunded automatically.

Privacy and data

What data does the extension read?
Only the visible text of the single LinkedIn profile page you are on, and only after you click the button. It does not read your inbox, messages, feed, connections, or search history, and it never touches your LinkedIn credentials.
Does it scrape profiles in bulk or in the background?
No. There is no bulk mode, no background crawling, and no scheduled scraping. Nothing happens until you press Prep for Meeting on a profile you opened yourself.
Where are profile summaries stored, and for how long?
Profile summaries are saved to your own account so you can reread them, and reopening a profile within 30 days returns the stored profile summary instead of generating a new one. You can review your saved profile summaries in your dashboard history.
Is Call Me Ready affiliated with LinkedIn?
No. Call Me Ready is an independent product of CommonPoint LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation.

Using it day to day

Does it work on LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator?
The button targets standard linkedin.com/in/ profile pages. From Recruiter or Sales Navigator, open the person's public profile and the button appears there.
The button did not appear — what now?
LinkedIn loads profiles progressively, so give the page a moment. If it still is not there, reload the page. A floating fallback button also appears on profile pages so the action is always reachable.
Can I prep for a group meeting?
Yes — generate a profile summary per attendee. Each profile is its own profile summary, and all of them stay in your history.
Is the profile summary always accurate?
Profile summaries are AI-generated from what a profile says publicly, so treat them as a fast starting point rather than verified fact. Confirm anything sensitive before you repeat it in a meeting.
